We have been utilizing a speed burn out procedure for envisiontec wax products. We are currently using Microstar investment (Jensen Industries 800-243-2000) and the following alloys (also available through Jensen). We have tested IPS PressVest Speed (available from Ivoclar Vivadent 800-263-8182) for pressed ceramics and have had great results. Investing and burn out procedures area as follows. Metal ceramic alloy (JPW): Microstar HS 1/ 100g package to 16 ml/MS liquid plus 9 H2O Bench set for 12-13 minutes Burnout speed @1475 degrees Farenheit 45 minutes and cast (for 100 grams) Full Gold Crowns (JMC): Microstar HS 1100g package to 13 ml / MS liquid plus 12 H2O Bench set for 12-13 minutes Burnout speed 1475 degrees Farenheit for 45 minutes Reduce temp to 1175 degrees Farenheit for 30 minutes and cast For Empress and e.max (and other pressed ceramics): Overnight burnout/ IPS Press Vest, E.max and Empress same ratio on overnight only 200g bag 26 ml/ PV liquid + 18 ml/H2O Bench set 1 hour Room temp to 485 degreed Farenheit Hold for 30 min. Heat rate 9 degrees per minute Go to 1562 @ 9 degrees per minute. Hold for 70 minutes. 100g bag 13 ml/ PV liquid + 9 ml/H2O Bench set 1 hour Room temp to 485 degreed Farenheit Hold for 30 min. Heat rate 9 degrees per minute Go to 1562 @ 9 degrees per minute. Hold for 70 minutes. Empress I Speed / IPS Press Vest 200grams + 35 ml PV liq. + 23 ml H2O Bench set for 40 minutes Insertion temp 1562 degrees Farenheit Hold for 40 minutes Empress I Speed / IPS Press Vest 100 grams + 17.5 ml PV liq. + 11.5 ml H2O Bench set for 40 minutes Insertion temp 1562 degrees Farenheit Hold for 40 minutes e.max Speed / IPS Press Vest 200grams + 32 ml PV liq. + 23 ml H2O Bench set for 40 minutes Insertion temp 1562 degrees Farenheit Hold for 40 minutes e.max Speed / IPS Press Vest 100grams + 16ml PV liq. + 11 ml H2O Bench set for 40 minutes Insertion temp 1562 degrees Farenheit Hold for 40 minutes
